A Veteran of the United States Army and Army National Guard, Sergeant Wilkins spent 12 years in uniform serving with leadership roles in charge of managing personnel, logistics, and mission readiness. While in the Army, Sergeant Wilkins was assigned to support America's nuclear defense, serving with one of our nation's most critical national security programs. During his time in the Army, Sergeant Wilkins understood the importance of servant leadership and developed the core values he still embraces today: integrity, accountability, discipline, and commitment to service. After his time in the military, Sergeant Wilkins pursued a career in business development and sales leadership, focusing on strategic marketing and customer service. He currently works with employers and working families across Florida to help them access voluntary workplace benefits that help strengthen their financial security. These benefits are provided at no direct cost to employers, allowing them to better protect their employees and families should they experience a sudden illness or hardship. It's time for that same commitment to service to extend to Tallahassee. Sergeant Wilkins is running for State House District 70 because he wants to fight for Florida families and ensure that every person in District 70 has a chance to thrive. From expanding affordable housing options and strengthening public education to standing up for veterans and Florida's natural resources, Sergeant Wilkins plans to focus on policies that promote responsible economic growth and job creation. Sergeant Luther Wilkins approaches leadership with a commitment to serve others. When it comes to politics, he will listen first, lead with integrity, and always put the people of House District 70 before party politics and special interests.
